Text book is not included in the tuition. You can order
your book on amazon and it will range from anywhere to $30.00- $50.00 depending on seller. If you are
not CPR certified you do have to complete your CPR while in the program and that is an additional fee of
$45.00. The exam is not included in the tuition. However, it is an additional cost of $105.00 and is not
due until the end of the program. The school also offers refer a friend where if you refer someone to
register while in the program you will be reimbursed the exam cost by the school. Although the testing
fee in not included in the tuition the testing center fees are included. The school does not charge
anything extra for you to complete your test at the school.
Yes we are accredited with Workforce Innovation Council of Indiana we are also
affiliated with the NHA (National Health Career Association). After successful completion of the
program you will receive a certificate of completion from the school and will be able to take the
certification exam (at the school/ we are a testing center)
The second week of the program the instructor lectures on Resume
preparation, interview skills and notifies students of any new job openings in the course of practice. We
encourage all students to apply half way through the program. Some of the employers that have hired
our graduates are: St. Mary's Hospital, Community Hospital, St. Catherine's Hospital, American Red Cross,
Porter Regional, Alverno, Franciscan, Davita Dialysis, Bio blood components etc… further more your
certification is national and you can work in any state with this credential. The school has been around
for almost 10 years and is very well known in the community. Employers call us often to inform us of
new job openings in their facilities.
We do offer flexible payment plans and often offer our classes monthly.
You can also go into your local WorkOne office (they do provide funding) and see if you are eligible.
They are located in Portage, Hammond, Gary and MI city. Also you can go to Maximus/Impact office in
Crown Point.
Unfortunately in order for schools to receive FAFSA the education program needs
to be 9 months or longer. Due to our accelerated nature of our classes FAFSA does not apply. However,
students that receive FAFSA that are in college sometimes utilize that money for our classes.
You can contact your high school and ask them to write a letter
(with a letter head) verifying your graduation.
There are clinicals for the Medical Assisting program. The
Phlebotomy and EKG classes we do clinical in the classroom.
Your tuition includes your scrubs, all supplies utilized in the classroom,
lab fees, testing center fees, instructor fees etc…
The certification prepares you to work in Retail Pharmacy and Hospital Pharmacy.
